Providing a safety net through its many services, San Francisco City Impact is an organization serving the Tenderloin District by providing for the immediate needs of the community in the areas: Poverty, Hunger, Inner-City Children, and Community Outreach.
The San Francisco City Impact after-school program, City Kids, provides a safe place for children in the Tenderloin to learn and create. The goal is to ensure every child is given access to the education, mentorship, and community support they need to overcome their circumstances and become leaders in their community.

The Creative Destination was honored to have The Bay Area Mural Artist Team to paint two amazing murals for the technology lab.
We used our donations to purchase over 10 Dell Laptops for students to use.
Now that the room is complete, we are starting to establish digital programs to encourage learning.
We are also implementing different coding platforms for kids to use as well.

Digital Literacy is the ability to find information and communicate with others using various digital platforms. Digital Literacy is evaluated by grammar, composition, typing skills, producing text, images, audio, and designs.
In a technology-driven world, children in underserved communities who lack access to computers are prevented from accessing opportunities over digital platforms.
Households in underserved communities often lack reliable internet access. According to the Pew Research Center(2018), Roughly one-third of households with children ages 6 to 17 and whose annual income falls below $30,000 a year do not have a high-speed internet connection at home.
Since the pandemic, this digital divide has only increased, furthering the education equity gap as schoolwork and homework transitioned exclusively to online platforms. With kids returning back to in-person school these divides are more apparent in low literacy rates.
By partnering with San Francisco City Impact's after-school program City Kids in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco. The Creative Destination is creating a Creative Destination Technology Lab. City Kids has reliable Wifi but lacks updated laptops for the kids. Many of the desktops need to be updated to easily portable and interactive laptops for kids.
Our goal is to provide 30 new laptops, new tables, new chairs, and new artwork for the Creative Destination space.
By donating to the QGiv code, your donation will immediately be sent to a fund allocated for The Creative Destination Technology space.
This was the Technology Lab before any work had been done by The Creative Destination. These computers were old and did not function. The only Apple monitor was also broken.
This is the new Digital Literacy Technology Lab created by The Creative Destination.
